Ready to delete your account?
Send an email to privacy@markandrun.com with the subject line "Delete my account" from the address registered to your account. We will process your request within 10 business days.
Alternatively, log into the app and go to Account Settings → Delete Account.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, the following personal data is permanently removed from our systems:
- Your name and email address.
- Your login credentials and session tokens.
- Your account preferences and notification settings.
- Any AI-generated scope suggestions associated with your account.
What happens to your project data
Project data — scopes, contracts, budgets, punch lists, lien waivers, and closeout documents — is retained for 90 days after account deletion to allow you to retrieve anything you may need. During that window you can request a full data export (see below). After 90 days all project data is securely and permanently deleted.
If other users (e.g., staff members) have been given access to your projects, those projects will become inaccessible to them when your account is deleted.
Export your data first
We strongly recommend exporting your data before requesting deletion. Founders can export all project and user data as CSV from the Admin dashboard. Alternatively, request a full data export by emailing privacy@markandrun.com — we will provide a secure download link within 5 business days.
Audit log records
Anonymised audit log records (e.g., "a user updated a project status") may be retained for up to 24 months for security and fraud-prevention purposes. These records will not contain your name or email after account deletion.
Billing records
Transaction records required for accounting and tax compliance are retained for the period required by applicable law (typically 7 years), but are stripped of personal identifiers beyond those legally required.
Pending subscription
Deleting your account cancels any active subscription immediately. We do not issue pro-rated refunds for the remainder of a billing period unless required by applicable law. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us before requesting deletion.
Reactivation
Account deletion is permanent. If you change your mind within the 90-day project-data retention window, contact us and we can restore your account. After 90 days, no restoration is possible.
